Where the ranking comes from
On September 5, 2026 a player asked in the official Discord whether all mutations have the same damage boost. Rakaneki replied with the order above. Rakaneki is also the owner of the Defeat Anime Bosses Roblox group that publishes the game, which is why we treat it as the developer's answer. ItzVexo showed the message in his September 13 guide. The multipliers were posted separately by a player (bestieinatessieyuh) and appear in the same video. The order matches the developer's; the numbers have not been confirmed by the developer, so treat them as close rather than exact. The developer's message says "angel", while unit cards and the Evangelion code use "Angelic".
How mutations show up in the game
- On the unit card: the mutation name sits above the unit name in the Units window (for example "BLOSSOM Blood", "ANGELIC Blood", "GENIUS Tobeni", "DIAMOND Myukei" in Berlian Kecil's September 14 video).
- Mutations and Powers are different things: the Evangelion and Blossom codes give the Angelic and Blossom Powers, and the unit list shows a separate type tag (Magical, Physical).
How to get better mutations
- Raise your luck. Game Rant describes Luck Potions as raising the chance of rare animes and mutations. The upgrade tree has Luck I to V, prestige ranks add 5% luck each, and Luck Potions double it for 3 minutes. See how to get more luck.
- Watch for Sakura Season. The event banner reads "Petals drift across the map - chance for Blossom or Genius Mutation!"
- x2 Mutations pass. The Roblox pass list says 399 Robux, while the in-game button showed 449 in two videos (September 14 and 17); go by the number on your button. Created August 19. It is the only pass aimed at mutations; the others are on the shop page.
- Keep, then clone. A Genius or Honored copy is worth keeping on any unit you use. The Clone Machine in the Plaza copies a unit if you have the matching Essence (see evolution and cloning).
Mutations FAQ
Blossom or Genius, which is better?
Genius. The developer ranked it first and Blossom fourth (genius > honored > angel > blossom > diamond > gold, September 5, 2026). The multipliers a player posted in the same Discord put Genius at x4 and Blossom at x2.5.
Do all mutations give the same damage boost?
No. That was exactly the question put to the developer, and the answer was the ranking above, so each mutation is a different strength. The exact numbers (x4 down to x1.5) come from a player, not the developer.
How do I get a Genius mutation?
Roll for it: mutations land on normal unit rolls, and luck raises the chance. The x2 Mutations game pass (399 Robux on the Roblox list, 449 on the in-game button in two videos) doubles mutation chance by its name, and the Sakura Season event text says petals drifting across the map give a chance at Blossom or Genius. The Chainsaw code also gave a Genius unit (Tobeni), but it is one of the disputed older codes.
Is a mutated common better than a plain rare?
