Defeat Anime RNG Evolution & Cloning Guide

Evolution

The Plaza has an Evolve Units stall (sign: "Evolve Powerful Units"). Near the end of the tutorial the Elf Mage tells you to head to the Plaza (Superlex Plays' September 14 run), and in Berlian Kecil's September 11 guide his Gobu comes back from there as Gobu (Super). The material is shown in the Items window:

Other units will have their own materials. We list them here once the tooltip has been seen; until then, open the item in your Items window, since the tooltip names the unit and the zone.

Cloning

  1. Go to the Clone Units stall in the Plaza (sign: "Clone Your Units!").
  2. Pick the unit. The window shows the Essence it needs next to it, for example Epic Essence (0/1) for the Epic unit Isel.
  3. Start the clone. It ran for about 6 minutes in the video (Ready in 06:18); the green -50% Time button halves it.
  4. Press Claim when the window says "Ready to claim!".

Common, Uncommon, Rare and Epic Essences drop from enemies (they pop up on the right side of the screen while you fight). Mythic, Secret, Divine, Cosmic and Exclusive Essences are sold in the shop in packs of ten; prices are on the shop page and the full item list is on items.

Fuse

The Plaza also has a Fuse stall (sign: "Power Up Your Units!"). The game's own description says to merge animes to level them up, and Fuse is the stall that looks built for it. None of the videos we checked opened the Fuse window, so we are not listing costs or rules for it yet.

Evolution FAQ

How do I evolve units in Defeat Anime RNG?

Take the unit and its evolution material to the Evolve Units stall in the Plaza. The one we can confirm is Gobu: the Dragon Ball tooltip reads "Gobu (Super)’s evolution material. Drops from kills on Planek." Berlian Kecil evolves Gobu this way in his September 11 guide.

I keep killing enemies in Shibuya but my unit will not evolve. Why?

Each evolution material drops in a specific zone, and the item tooltip tells you which one (the Dragon Ball is Planek). Check the material’s tooltip in your Items window before farming. A player asked exactly this about evolving a Gojo-style unit in Shibuya; we have not seen that unit’s material yet.

How does cloning work?

Put a unit in the Clone Machine in the Plaza ("Clone Your Units!") along with the Essence the window asks for. In Berlian Kecil’s video an Epic unit, Isel, needed 1 Epic Essence (the window reads 0/1 until you have it), the clone took about 6 minutes (Ready in 06:18) and a Claim button appeared when it finished. A -50% Time button speeds it up.
