Traits checked:
The nine chances on the panel add up to 72.96%, so about 27% is missing. With Superior and Precise both at 27.05%, the gap is almost exactly one more common trait at the same chance. It sits below Precise in the list and did not scroll into view in any of the six videos we went through, so we have left it out rather than guess its name.
Which trait to keep
- Keep on sight: Instinct, Berserker, Limitless. Berserker's overkill effect also spills extra damage from a kill onto one nearby enemy, which helps against the packed waves in later zones.
- Keep on boss units: Awakened, because of its 35% damage to bosses. Candy Island and Curse College are the zones where bosses get tougher.
- Reroll: Blitz, Marksman, Assassin, Superior and Precise, unless you are out of shards. Assassin is the best of these for pure damage (20% plus 20% on enemies under half HP).
A trait sits on top of the unit's base damage, so the same trait is worth more on a stronger unit. ItzVexo's video shows the point: a unit reads 6.2K DPS with a good trait next to 1.3K without one, and a 25K base unit is the one he says is worth enchanting. Pick the unit first (see units and mutations), then spend shards.
How to roll traits
- Go to the Traits stall in the Plaza (the sign reads "Power Up Your Units!"). Press Plaza at the top of the screen to get there.
- Pick the unit. The panel shows the unit's name and rarity, its current trait and the roll chance of that trait.
- Press Roll for one roll (1 Trait Shard) or Auto roll to keep going until a trait with Auto Stop ON lands.
Trait Crystal packs
The right side of the Traits panel sells shards for Robux. Prices as shown in the panel on September 13 and 17, 2026:
| Pack | Price | Per shard |
|---|---|---|
| 50 Trait Crystals | 360 Robux | 7.2 Robux |
| 100 Trait Crystals | 560 Robux | 5.6 Robux |
| 250 Trait Crystals | 1,400 Robux | 5.6 Robux |
The 250 pack is the cheapest per shard. Codes are free and give 400 shards between them, so redeem those first; the codes page has the list.
Traits FAQ
What is the best trait in Defeat Anime RNG?
Instinct: 150% damage, 30% shorter cooldown, 25% crit chance, 50% crit damage and 30% shorter ability cooldown, at 0.01% per roll (1 in 10,000). Berserker (0.10%) is the realistic target for most players, and ItzVexo’s guide tells beginners to aim for Berserker or better.
Is Awakened better than Limitless?
Against bosses, often yes. Limitless is 75% damage and 25% shorter cooldown; Awakened is 50% damage plus 35% damage to bosses, so on a boss it adds up to more raw damage but attacks less often. For wave clearing, Limitless is the better of the two.
How do I stop auto roll on a good trait?
Every trait row on the left of the Traits panel has an Auto Stop switch. Leave it ON for the traits you want to keep and turn it OFF for the ones you want to skip, then press Auto roll. ItzVexo’s setup turns Auto Stop off for Blitz, Marksman and Assassin and keeps it on from Awakened up.
Where do I get Trait Shards?
Codes (each of the eight working codes gives 50), zone drops (the drop boards next to each zone list the chances), and the Trait Crystal packs on the right of the Traits panel, which cost Robux.
